Career Lunch – May 23rd, 2014

Career Lunches offer trainees the opportunity to have lunch with distinguished speakers visiting Virginia Tech. On May 23rd, graduate students and postdocs sat down for a career discussion with Dr Ronald DePinho, President of the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, in Houston, TX.  This was a fantastic opportunity for trainees to learn more about careers in translational research from an internationally recognized researcher in cancer, aging and age-associated degenerative disorders, as well as ask Dr DePinho about his experiences starting up numerous biopharmaceutical companies, and advice for young scientists on paving their own career path.
