Dr. Ann Harvey Tanner, Ph.D.

Manager of Guest Experiences, Museum of Science and Industry

Ann Harvey Tanner joined the Museum of Science and Industry in April 2014. As a Manager of Guest Experiences, Ann works as part of the Center for the Advancement of Science Education to bring world class live science experiences to museum guests. In her role as a manager, she is responsible for hiring, training, and developing the staff of Facilitators that deliver science programs throughout the museum. She also works on interdivisional teams to develop new exhibits to inspire and motivate children to achieve their full potential in STEM fields.  Ann completed a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering at Northwestern University and a PhD in Neuroscience at Baylor College of Medicine. Prior to joining MSI she was a Research Scientist in Dr. Read Montague’s lab at the Virginia Tech Carilion Research Institute in Roanoke, Virginia.
