TEACH Education Day 2016
Thank you to those who joined us for this year’s annual TEACH Education Day. Throughout the day, around 80 health professions educators attended sessions dedicated to the advancement of education scholarship. The day was comprised of a repeated keynote session, several practical break-out sessions and a poster display highlighting the remarkable achievements in education scholarship of health professions educators across VTCSOM and Carilion. Dr. Rebecca Blanchard (Director Medical Education and Research, University of Massachusetts Medical School – Baystate Health) ignited the education scholarship spark in attendees during her keynote presentation “Strategies of Successful Education Scholars (Like You).” Dr. Blanchard’s infectious enthusiasm and excitement captivated the audience as she discussed the steps and strategies of the scholarly approach and encouraged attendees to create a “posse” to support their ongoing efforts. If you were unable to attend Dr. Blanchard’s session and are interested in dipping your toes into the educational scholarship water, check out her archived presentation below. Three unique break-out sessions offered practical advice and helpful hints for searching the literature, creating a poster, moving that work forward into publication. Recordings, PowerPoint presentations and session resources can be found below for those as well
