BEST Travel Awards
BEST Travel Award Application
The BEST program will support a limited number of travel awards to offset the costs for professional development opportunities not covered by the trainee’s research mentor. This may include reimbursement for the cost of the conference or workshop registration, or reimbursement for travel costs for attending an internship opportunity outside of the region. Please note: BEST Travel Awards are intended to support trainees in obtaining transferable skill sets and knowledge that would not otherwise be obtained in an academic research setting. They are not intended to support travel to scientific conferences, workshops, or academic labs for the purposes of presenting research or learning laboratory techniques. * VT BEST travel award applications are reviewed monthly. However, applications should be submitted well in advance of the event. Individuals can only receive a maximum of 2 travel awards.News and Events
