Michele Korf, an Emmy-Award-winning expert in educational media, will discuss the possibilities in broadcast and digital media, especially as they relate to the education market. She will discuss how the roles of these professionals have evolved over time, and where the field is heading. She will also discuss her own experiences in public broadcasting, publishing, higher education, and now as an independent business owner working with universities on online course and digital media strategy and implementation.

 

About the Speaker:
Michele Korf brings four decades of experience as an award-winning leader in educational media production, with a focus on strategic development for new markets and higher education. Her previous positions include Senior Executive for Educational Media for the WGBH Educational Foundation (the Boston-based public television station and flagship producing station for PBS); Executive Director for Distance Learning and Outreach for The University of Alabama System; strategic planner for The Corporation for Public Broadcasting, National Public Radio, Time-Life Media, and The McGraw-Hill Companies; and founder of the educational strategies company Michele Korf and Associates.  Ms. Korf is the recipient of many programming and educational awards for her work, including the Emmy, CINE Golden Eagle, and Columbus International Award.
