Come listen as Dr. Prager describes his roles as Editor-in-Chief and Developmental Editor, discusses what he looks for in submitted manuscripts, and explains how he makes his editorial decisions. He will also provide an overview of the different models of editorial offices, types of jobs available in the scientific publishing industry, and the process of applying and interviewing for jobs in scientific publishing.

Dr. Prager is the Editor-in-Chief for the Journal of Neuroscience Research and the Developmental Editor for Current Protocols in Neuroscience. Dr. Prager earned his Ph.D. from the Uniformed Services University in Neuroscience, where he investigated the long-term consequences of a nerve agent exposure. Cooperating with groups from the NIH and the National Centre for the Replacement, Refinement & Reduction of Animals in Research, Dr. Prager has developed new guidelines to promote transparent science and increase reproducibility of published research.
